Detailed Product Introduction
Core Features
This is a Tibetan Pure Earth (Zhiben) system “One-Eye Heaven-Earth” (Yiyan Tiandi) Dzi bead, measuring approximately 11.5×27.3mm. The bead is fully whitened throughout, with a dense structure completely opaque under strong light. A large number of fine cinnabar spots (xi zhu sha dian) are naturally distributed across the surface, a typical characteristic of antique beads.
Appearance and Patina
The surface coloration (mise) is aesthetically pleasing with a deep, aged character. Natural weathering cracks (fenghua) are evenly distributed. The patina is full and oily, with a warm, thick luster. The bead is hand-polished following the natural shape of the aged material (suixing), with smooth lines and visible original grinding marks.
Symbolism
The One-Eye Dzi symbolizes “enlightened wisdom,” offering protection against evil and opening the mind. The Heaven-Earth motif represents connection with the heavens above and grounding with the earth below. Together, they combine spiritual awakening with protective and harmonizing powers.
Craftsmanship and Material
This bead belongs to the Pure Earth (Zhiben) craft tradition, characterized by complete whitening and total opacity under strong light. The fine cinnabar spots are naturally formed through long-term burial or传承 (transmission), not artificially added. The weathering and patina mutually confirm the bead’s antique status.
Usage Scenario
Suitable for Tibetan cultural collectors, daily wear, or as an aid in spiritual practice. The high-oil, aged material becomes even more lustrous when worn against the skin. Avoid hard impacts, scratches, and contact with chemicals.
