- Detailed Product Introduction
Core Features
This is a Tibetan Tsosii-system Dzi bead featuring the “Vajra Heaven-Earth” (Jingang Shuang Tiandi) motif. It measures approximately 11×24mm. The bead is hand-polished following the natural shape of the aged material (suixing), with smooth, organic lines and visible original grinding marks.
Appearance and Patina
The surface coloration (mise) is deeply aged, with a rich, subdued luster. The bead is fully covered with natural weathering cracks (fenghua) accompanied by clear drawn-wire marks (lashen hen). The weathering is dense, natural, and multi-layered. The patina is full and oily, warm to the touch, with a thick, lustrous finish—typical characteristics of a bead that has been worn and passed down for a long time.
Symbolism
The Vajra Heaven-Earth Dzi bead combines the symbols of “Heaven-Earth” and “Vajra,” representing connection with the cosmos above and grounding with the earth below, while embodying protective and harmonizing powers. It is often used for spiritual practice, protection, and enhancing strength.
Craftsmanship and Material
This bead belongs to the Tsosii (Chuosi) craft tradition, where the whitening degree is slightly lighter than that of Pure Earth (Zhiben) Dzi beads, yet the material remains highly oily and lustrous. The surface coloration and weathering patterns are naturally formed, with no signs of acid washing or modern enhancement. The freeform hand-polishing preserves the original texture, and the drawn-wire marks together with the weathering mutually confirm the bead’s antique status.
Usage Scenario
Suitable for Tibetan cultural collectors, daily wear, or as an aid in spiritual practice. The high-oil, aged material becomes even more lustrous when worn against the skin. Avoid hard impacts, scratches, and contact with chemicals.
