This piece is a Tibetan Pure Earth “Earth Gate” (Dimen) Two-Eye Dzi Bead. It features a fully whitened body with a typical “white-core” structure. It is completely opaque under strong light, indicating a dense material. The bead measures approximately 12.8×29mm and is hand-polished, following the natural shape of the material (suixing), with visible manual grinding marks on the edges and surface.

Appearance and Patina
The surface displays a beautiful, aged coloration (mise) and an antique feel. Natural weathering cracks (fenghua) are naturally distributed, and the patina is full and glossy, giving a warm and smooth touch. The overall finish is extremely oily and lustrous, with a subdued sheen, consistent with the characteristics of old beads that have been worn and passed down for a long time.

Symbolism
The Two-Eye Dzi bead symbolizes “eternal union and longevity,” representing harmony in relationships and fulfillment in career and family. The “Earth Gate” form combines protective and Yin-Yang harmonizing functions, commonly seen in high-level Tibetan Buddhist practice and heirloom ornaments.

Craftsmanship and Material
Made using early etched agate techniques, the whitened layer is firmly integrated with the bead body, with rich, layered colorations. There is no sign of acid washing or modern enhancement. The hand-polished, freeform shape preserves the original texture, and natural wear is visible at both ends of the channel. The weathering and patina mutually confirm the bead’s antique status.
